What this campaign is about
What this campaign is committing to, and what each one would change. Every one of them is about how this office works, not about who you voted for last time.
01 A service request you can follow
You report a pothole and hear nothing until it is filled, or until it is not. Every request in this ward gets a number, a date and a reply, and the misses get published too.
02 Ward hours every month
A fixed time and a fixed place in the ward, once a month, with no appointment and no agenda.
03 An answer within the week
Every message to this office gets a real reply within five working days. Not an acknowledgement, an answer.
04 Local spending, listed
What gets spent in this ward, on what, in a list you can read without knowing the budget language.
The ward
Wards 7 & 8
The part of Brampton this seat represents.
Voting
How to vote in Wards 7 & 8
The date does not move. Everything else here is what to check before it.
- On the ballot
- City Councillor, Wards 7 & 8. You also elect a Mayor, a Regional Councillor and a school board trustee.
- Voters' list
- The City runs the municipal voters' list. brampton.ca/election
Advance voting dates and hours are not published by the City yet. They appear here when they are.
Get involved
Three things a supporter can do
None of these take more than a minute, and all of them help more than they look like they would.
Request a lawn sign
One on your lawn is the cheapest advertising a campaign has, and your street sees it every day until the vote.
Volunteer
An hour at a door, on a phone, or at a polling station on voting day. Say what you can do and when.
Contact the campaign
A question, something happening on your street, or something this office should know about your area.
